They also keep increasing in rate of gain and carcass quality. They are black, with white spots and are a fast growing hog. It has a lot of the same quality of the Poland China but is typically better. This breed is good for producers who are looking for a hog that can be raised with the lower cost and easier maintenance of outdoor operations. The breed is not an out-and-out commercial breed, but it does have a place in commercial farming with its high-quality meat production. |
